Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 11:15 a.m. officers received information that a wanted individual was staying at a motel in the 700 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard, along with a 35-year-old man. Officers received consent to search the room and noted paraphernalia in plain view. The man was detained and his parole officer was contacted. A detainer was authorized. Officers reportedly located scales, packaging, and about .69 grams of suspected fentanyl.

The man was also cited for unlawful possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance. He was detained without bail.
