Roseburg Police jailed a man early Thursday morning for an alleged prior theft incident.

An RPD report said at 1:00 a.m. officers contacted the 37-year-old regarding the theft of a $3,500 trailer from a store in the 3300 block of Northwest Aviation Boulevard on March 3rd. The man admitted to the theft and was taken into custody. Officers later located 2.65 grams of alleged methamphetamine in the man’s pocket. He was charged with first-degree theft and for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The man was detained without bail.
