The Winston-Dillard Water District has lifted the boil water notice issued late Monday afternoon.
District Manager Tanner Pence said test results of samples submitted show that they are all clear of contaminates. All restrictions were lifted effective mid-morning Wednesday.
Pence said district customers had been asked to boil their water before drinking. This was after a loss of water pressure in the distribution system on Monday, which meant potentially harmful bacteria could have been present in the water supply. That could lead to sickness, particularly for people with weakened immune systems. The affected area was the entire water system.
The district has 2,500 active connections in the Winston-Dillard area/
