Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Monday.

An RPD report said just before 9:30 a.m. the 36-year-old was contacted at Deer Creek Park in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street because officers knew that he was absconding. His parole officer authorized a detainer and was he was taken into custody without incident. The man was detained without bail.
