The Roseburg City Council will consider a tax exemption for the Sunshine Park Apartments as part of its meeting Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
In 2019, Wishcamper Development Partners contacted the city regarding a low-income housing project being planned in partnership with the Opportunity Council, a 501c3 nonprofit corporation. It is located on Sunshine Road in the Diamond Lake Urban Renewal Area. They applied for and were granted a tax exemption status under state law. In order to continue to quality for tax exemption, the Opportunity Council must apply annually prior to March 1st. That application was received on February 23rd.
Councilors will consider an ordinance granting a telecommunications franchise to Greenfly Network Inc.
Presentations will be made on police accreditation and on the work of the Roseburg Rescue Mission. Mayor Larry Rich will make a proclamation designating March of Red Cross Month.
Other items are on the agenda as well.
The meeting will be held in the council chambers on Southeast Douglas Avenue. It can be seen on the city’s Facebook page or viewed later at: https://roseburgor.gov/
