A Canyonville area transient was jailed for a restraining order violation on Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:30 a.m. 51-year-old Sean Kelley was arrested in the 200 block of Main Street in Riddle. Kelley allegedly had contact with the victim the previous night at her workplace. He reportedly spit on the victim as she was pulled out of a parking lot, which struck the victim in the face.

Kelley was charged with two counts of a restraining order violation, harassment, and fourth-degree assault. Bail was set at $5,000.
