No one was hurt when a vehicle left the highway in the Scottsburg area on Thursday.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 1:30 p.m. a sedan was westbound on Highway 38 near milepost 15. The driver claimed that a pickup had entered the westbound lane while going eastbound. The driver swerved to avoid the vehicle and lost control. His sedan went down a steep embankment and hit a tree. The driver arranged to have his vehicle towed at a later time.
