Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged theft incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 1:10 p.m. officers contacted the 50-year-old after he was captured on video surveillance stealing a bottle of liquor from a store in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street. He was taken into custody without incident. A detainer was authorized. The man was charged with third-degree theft and a probation violation. Bail was set at $1,250.
