Roseburg Police jailed a man after a disturbance on Thursday morning.
An RPD report said at 11:40 a.m. officers responded to the incident in the 2500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. 22-year-old Johnny Cornell left the area prior to officer’s arriving. Dispatch advised that Cornell had two warrants for his arrest.
At the scene, a victim reported that Cornell had intentionally damaged the door inside the residence, where he does not live. Officers found the suspect in the area, and he was detained without incident. Dispatch confirmed the warrants. Cornell admitted to having methamphetamine in his pocket. He was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, menacing, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and for the warrants. Bail was set at $6,250.
