Roseburg Police jailed a man for DUII following a vehicle crash on Tuesday night.

An RPD report said just after 9:50 p.m. officers observed a sedan quickly pulling off a side street near the 1400 block of Southeast Pine Street. The vehicle then swerved from the left shoulder to the right shoulder, then back to the left shoulder before it wrecked next to a tree just off the road.

22-year-old Andres Hernandez was the only occupant of the vehicle and allegedly showed numerous signs of impairment. Hernandez reportedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests.  He was transported to corrections and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and failure to perform the duties of a driver with property damage. Bail was set at $22,500. Hernandez was cited for no operator’s license and driving uninsured.
