On Tuesday, Governor Tina Kotek signed Senate Bill 1599 into law.

The legislation moves the Gas Tax Referendum to the May Primary Election.

State Senator Christine Drazan said the measure received no Republican support and virtually no backing outside of Supermajority Democratic politicians and their political allies.

Senator Drazan released a statement saying, “Democrats are manipulating the rules simply because they have the power to do it. A reckoning is coming, and Oregonians will have the final word”.
