ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN ON MENACING CHARGES FOLLOWING REPORTED ATTACK

Roseburg Police jailed a man on menacing charges after a reported attack on Monday morning.

An RPD report said following an investigation where 32-year-old Perry Murphy had gone into a victim’s residence, allegedly threatened to kill the man and attacked him with a metal police, then pointed a firearm at the victim, officers executed a search warrant at Murphy’s residence and took him into custody without incident, in the 1400 block of Southeast Douglas Avenue.

Officers reportedly discovered more firearms at the residence, which Murphy unlawfully had possession of, due to him being a convicted felon. Murphy was charged with menacing, unlawful use of a firearm and two counts of unlawful possession of firearms. He was detained without bail.
