ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR PAROLE VIOLATION, METHAMPHETAMINE

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation and unlawful possession of methamphetamine on Friday.

An RPD report said at 12:00 p.m. officers contacted the 50-year-old in the 200 block of Northeast Jackson Street after observing him with an open beer. Officers knew that as a stipulation of his parole, he was not to have any intoxicating substances.

The man was placed under arrest after a detainer was obtained from his parole officer. During that time, officers also found that the man’s bag had methamphetamine in it. The man was transported to corrections and was detained without bail.
