Sutherlin Police have charged a man following an investigation into a recent robbery at a business.

Captain Ben Woodard of SPD said on Sunday, February 15th at 3:30 a.m. officers responded to the Offyce Bar in the 200 block of West Central Avenue after a robbery was reported. Woodward said earlier that morning two men reportedly entered the establishment and stole money.

SPD officers with the help of the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team and the Winston Police Department developed probable cause for the arrest of 24-year-old Takoda Lee Pope in connection with the incident. On Thursday Pope was located and taken into custody.

Woodward said on Friday afternoon a search warrant was executed at Pope’s residence in the 600 block of West Luellen Drive in Roseburg by SPD. Woodward said more evidence of the crimes were collected at that time.

Pope is charged with first-degree aggravated theft, and second-degree counts of robbery and burglary. He is detained on $100,000 bail.
