Roseburg Police cited a woman for having prohibited livestock on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of Northeast Jackson Street. Neighbors had complained about the noise the woman’s rooster made in the early morning hours daily. Officers determined the woman possessed multiple chickens without city approval, along with the rooster.

The woman was released after being given a city ordinance violation.
