Winston Police K9 Nike is set to retire effective March 1st.

Information from Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs said the Winston Police Department will host a retirement gathering for Nike on Friday, March 6th at the Winston Community Center from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Nike will live the rest of his years with his current handler, WPD officer Blake Cordell, and Cordell’s family.

The Belgian Malinois will still be seen, health permitting, at some of the Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9 events in the future.
