ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED HARASSMENT INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged harassment incident on Friday night,

An RPD report said just after 11:15 p.m. officers were dispatched to a disturbance at an establishment in the 200 block of Northeast Jackson Street where a male and female were allegedly fighting. Upon arrival, officers contacted the female and learned that the 25-year-old male had allegedly grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against a vehicle, causing a large dent to the rear quarter panel of her vehicle. The woman had red marks around her neck. An independent witness corroborated her statements.

The man was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and harassment. Bail was set at $8,750.
