WIND ADVISORY THROUGH 7:00 A.M. SUNDAY

February 21. 2026 5:00 p.m.

A Wind Advisory is in effect through 7:00 a.m. Sunday for portions of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said southeast winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts of 45 to 50 miles per hour are expected.

The Advisory area includes the higher terrain of Douglas, Josephine and eastern Coos and Curry counties. This applies to National Forest Lands and interstate passes between Grants Pass and Canyonville.

Forecasters said gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and may cause tree damage. A few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Light outdoor objects like tens or empty trash bins should be secured.
