UCC ART GALLERY PRESENTS “TO WATCH THE MOON MOVE”

In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The Art Gallery at Umpqua Community College is now presenting: “To Watch the Moon Move” through March 11th at the Whipple Fine Arts Center at UCC.

The show is a series of photographs by Parker Reinecker exploring the American south and how the region’s roots in agrarian community, textile production and class and racial segregation connect to the current social landscape of the Central Piedmont.

Parker Reinecker is a visual artist and educator based in North Carolina. He earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.

A reception and virtual artist talk will be held on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in room 22 of the Whipple Final Art Center. Admission is free.

The UCC Art Gallery is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
