SUTHERLIN POLICE INVESTIGATING EARLY SUNDAY BUSINESS ROBBERY

February 16, 2026 3:50 a.m.

The Sutherlin Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place at a business early Sunday morning.

An SPD release said just after 3:30 a.m. officers responded to the Offyce Bar in the 200 block of West Central Avenue for the incident that had taken place earlier in the morning.

Sergeant Todd Jochum said a preliminary investigation indicates two suspects were dropped off by a vehicle in an alley north of the business. The vehicle then left the area while the two suspects approached the front entrance of the bar. Jochum said the suspects knocked on the front door and allegedly identified themselves as police officers. When an employee opened the door, the suspects entered the establishment. The men later left on foot with a known amount of currency. They are believed to have been picked up a short distance away by a vehicle and were last known to be traveling southbound on Interstate Five.

Sergeant Jochum said no weapons were displayed or reported during the incident, and the lone employee was not injured.

The suspects are described as two males, approximately five foot seven to six feet tall with “husky” builds and wearing face masks.

SPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects and a possible vehicle of interest. Anyone who recognizes the individuals or vehicle of interest is asked to contact the Sutherlin Police Department at 459-2211.
