ROSEBURG POLICE CITE THREE PEOPLE FOR PROHIBITED CAMPING

Roseburg Police cited three people for prohibited camping on Tuesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. a 48-year-old woman and 55-year-old man were contacted inside their tent, which was set up along the multi-use path between the Roseburg VA property and the Interstate 5 Garden Valley southbound on-ramp. Their camp violated the time, place and manner portions of the city’s camping ordinance.

A 51-year-old man was contacted in a camp about 150 feet away. His camp violated the time and place portions of the ordinance.

The first people contacted were cited for a violation count of the charge, while the second man was cited for a criminal count of the prohibited camping charge. All three people were released after their citations were issued.
