Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Saturday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 1:30 p.m. officers saw the 35-year-old walking near the 500 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard, drinking from an open bottle of vodka. The officers knew the man was wanted by his parole officer for absconding. A detainer was issued and the man was taken into custody without incident. He was held without bail and was released on Sunday.
