Roseburg Police cited a man for a city ordinance violation on Thursday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 2:30 p.m. officers contacted the 63-year-old at his camp at the bike jumps in Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street during the posting process. There was a medium hatchet in his camp which is a prohibited item in the parks.

He was cited for having prohibited weapons and tools on city real property and then was released.
