ROSEBURG LIBRARY TO HOST LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY PRESENTATION

February 5, 2026 3:40 a.m.

The Roseburg Public Library invites the public to photographer Peter Marbach’s presentation on Oregon landscapes, on Tuesday, February 17th at 6:30 p.m.

The program will be offered at the library on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

Marbach will share stories and images from “The Power of Place”, an exhibit currently on loan to the library from the Oregon Historical Society. The 21-panel collection, which shows the breathtaking beauty of Oregon, invites viewers to explore the places that continue to inspire and connect us all.

Marbach created “The Power of Place” and its companion exhibit, “The Pursuit of Happiness” for the America 250 Oregon Art Commission. The mission of that group is to coordinate, provide guidance, and ensure that Oregon’s official observance of the 250th anniversary is inclusive and shares the histories of Oregon’s diverse populations, including the histories of the Indigenous peoples who have resided here sine time immemorial. “The Power of Place” will be on display at the library through Thursday, February 19th.

Peter Marbach has produced photo essay book projects and enjoyed commercial success with National Geographic, Alaska Airlines, Travel Oregon and more. His work can be seen at: www.petermarbach.com
