ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING REPORTED ASSAULT INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported assault incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said just after 1:05 p.m. 38-year-old Cody Miller was allegedly acting suspiciously at a business in the 1100 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and was asked to leave. Miller reportedly got angry and punched an employee in the face. A patron intervened and was reportedly attacked by Miller. The victim had numerous scratches on his chest and neck and dislocated his shoulder.

Miller had left the store by the time police arrived, but he was located in the area. The suspect admitted to the confrontation. He was on parole and had recently been released from prison. Miller was charged with two counts each of fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct along with second-degree criminal trespass and a parole violation. Bail was set at $16,250.
