Roseburg had a near record high temperature for the date on Tuesday.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 63 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The record high for February 3rd is 64 degrees, set in 2018.
With a front allowing temperatures to stay well above seasonal norms this week, forecasters said the Umpqua Valley could again approach near record high temperatures for the date, with the most likely day being on Thursday when the record high is 67 degrees, set in 1941. The forecast is calling for the high that day to be around 65 degrees.
A pretty good chance of rain is expected by Saturday night, leading to a wet Sunday, with the potential for Roseburg to receive up to two thirds of an inch of rain over the weekend.
