No one was hurt in an afternoon commute two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 4:15 p.m. officers responded to the wreck at the intersection of Southeast Stephens Street and Southeast Douglas Avenue. The driver of a pickup stated that he was following a second vehicle when one of his passengers screamed. The driver said he attempted to slam on his brakes but did not have time and the collision took place.

The second driver claimed that the traffic light had turned yellow and his vehicle came to a stop, right before the pickup crashed into it. The pickup sustained minor damage but the second vehicle sustained substantial damage.

The driver who caused the wreck was cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and following too closely. Both vehicles were able to be driven away from the scene.
