Both drivers were extricated and taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle head-on crash on Thursday afternoon.
An Oregon State Police report said at 3:55 p.m. troopers responded to the wreck on Highway 138E approximately four miles west of Glide. The eastbound vehicle left its lane of travel and struck a westbound sedan. Both vehicles came to an uncontrolled stop on the westbound shoulder of the highway.
After being removed from their vehicles, the drivers were transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver who caused the crash had a medical emergency at the time, causing them to lose control of their vehicle. The first vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage while the second vehicle received heavy right-hand side damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
