Roseburg Police jailed a man for alleged criminal mischief early Friday.

An RPD report said at approximately 12:20 a.m. officers contacted the 27-year-old after they witnessed him damaging a sports car which was parked in the 900 block of Southeast Stephens Street. The suspect allegedly caused several chips in the driver window and a significant scratch on the passenger rear door. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and confirmed that the damage was new.

Thew suspect was taken into custody and charged with second-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $6,250.
