Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged forgery incident on Wednesday.
An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. 29-year-old Nathaniel Randolph said he was paid by a check from a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard for $29. Randolph reportedly admitted to officers that he altered the check and cashed it for $929 at the customer service desk of a nearby store.
Randolph was charged with second-degree counts of forgery, theft, and criminal possession of a forged instrument. The man was detained on $18,750.
