Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 12:05 p.m. the 32-year-old was contacted while sitting with a victim in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. Officers were aware that the man is on post prison supervision and one of his stipulations is to not have any contact with the victim.

The suspect’s parole officer was contacted and authorized a detainer. The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to corrections. He was detained without bail and was released later in the day.
