An Air Stagnation Advisory remains in effect until 4:00 p.m. Wednesday within the valleys in Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said poor air quality will continue. This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants. Air quality unhealthy for sensitive groups may develop.

Those with respiratory illness should follow their physician’s advice for dealing with high levels of air pollution during periods of stagnant air.

Motorists should slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of their vehicle.
