Roseburg Police charged a woman with second-degree theft on Monday night.

An RPD report said shortly after 6:00 p.m. officers responded to a store in the 2700 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after a theft had been called in and a shoplifter detained.

Officers arrived and learned that the 42-year-old had allegedly attempted to take nearly $323 worth of merchandise from the business. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to corrections. Bail was set at $6,250.
