No one was hurt when a vehicle rolled down an embankment in the Oakland area on Sunday night.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 6:30 p.m. a 36-year-old woman was driving northbound on Garden Valley Road near the intersection with Fort McKay Road in the Umpqua area. The woman was traveling too fast for the foggy conditions and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. The SUV went down an embankment on the north side of Fort McKay, damaging some fencing belonging to a winery.
The driver and her passenger were not injured. A towing company recovered the SUV.
