ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR PAROLE VIOLATION, METHAMPHETAMINE

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 9:50 a.m. a 27-year-old was contacted regarding a disturbance in the 2600 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. He returned on parole and had failed to check in. His parole officer authorized a detainer. During a consent search of the man’s backpack, an officer allegedly located methamphetamine. The man was detained without bail.
