Roseburg Police jailed one man and cited another man following a littering incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 2:00 p.m. officers contacted a 49-year-old man and a 52-year-old man under the Rowe Street Bridge in the 900 block of Northeast Rowe Street, because they had a substantial amount of trash surrounding them. The younger man was arrested and charged with littering near waters. The older man was cited and released for a criminal count of prohibited camping and littering near waters.

Bail for the younger man was set at $2,500. The older man was released after being cited, due to a medical condition.
