Roseburg Police cited a man for city ordinance violations on Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said at 11:30 a.m. the 56-year-old was contacted at his camp in Deer Creek Park in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. The man had a fire burning inside his tent, contained in a fireplace made from a beer keg with a functioning smokestack. There was also a large machete on the ground outside of his tent.

The man was cited and released for prohibited burning and prohibited weapons and tools on city real property. The machete was seized as evidence. His camp was posted for cleanup, with a clean up date of Wednesday. The man was released after the citations were issued
