Roseburg Police jailed a man on Monday for alleged prior burglary incidents.
An RPD report said officers had developed 44-year-old Troy Restveldt as a suspect in a theft and two burglaries that had occurred at a store in the 1500 block of Southeast Stephens Street on December 19th and 24th, and again on January 1st. Restveldt was contacted in the 2000 block of Green Avenue in the Green District and detained. The man allegedly admitted to the thefts and burglaries. Officers located some of the stolen items and clothing items he was wearing during the incident.
Restvedt was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, one count of first-degree theft and two counts of second-degree theft, and one count of first-degree criminal mischief along with one count of second-degree criminal trespass. Restvelt was detained without bail.
