January 14, 2026 3:15 p.m.

Troopers with Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle rollover crash early Monday morning on Highway 42.

An OSP report said just after 5:30 a.m. the operator of a westbound commercial truck lost control of his rig, due to icy conditions, near mile post 43, a few miles over the Douglas/Coos County line. The truck hit the embankment causing it to overturn into the westbound lane and blocking that lane of the road.

The accident impacted traffic in the area until it could be cleaned up. Public Works crews responded to the area as well.
