HUMAN TRAFFICKING TASK FORCE HOLDING COMMUNITY EVENT

The Douglas County Human Trafficking Task Force is holding a community event during National Human Trafficking Prevention and Awareness Month, which is January.

“Teens, Trafficking & Online Predators” will be presented at the Sutherlin Community Center on January 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Detective Kevin Taggart of the Myrtle Creek Police Department will be the featured speaker. Taggart will share information about trafficking including:

*Know the risk factors

*Learn about local cases

*Protect teens from exploitation

*Current challenges and solutions
