Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported burglary on Tuesday morning.
An RPD report said at 8:00 a.m. officers responded after a caller said he was at a home in the 1400 block of Southeast Pine Street to do maintenance work and saw a male inside. The suspect left just prior to officer’s arrival.
Inside the residence, the man had allegedly kicked numerous holes in the sheetrock, broke several windows, and urinated on the floor. The damage exceeded $1,000. Officers located 34-year-old Danya Czernowski in the area and he matched the description of the suspect. Czernowski admitted to being in the home and admitted to some of the damage. He also had a probation violation warrant for his arrest.
Czernowski was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree burglary and for the warrant. He was detained without bail.
