A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 4:00 p.m. Monday for areas above 5,000 feet in the Southern Oregon Cascades including Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, and Crescent Lake along with highways 138, 230 and 62.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches are expected with winds gusting as high as 35 miles per hour over high and exposed terrain.
A Winter Storm Watch is in place from Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. for the same locations. Heavy snow is forecast with between 1 and 2 feet possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 miles per hour.
