TWO OAKLAND RESIDENTS JAILED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP IN DRAIN

Two Oakland residents were jailed following a traffic stop in Drain on Sunday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 1:15 p.m. a deputy observed a 61-year-old man hiding in the backseat of vehicle as it went past him in the 100 block of Cedar Street and knew the man was wanted. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and also noticed a 33-year-old woman in the vehicle, who was also wanted.

The man was taken into custody on several warrants. Bail was set at $43,765. The woman was held for one warrant and detained on $1,250 bail.
