A Tenmile woman was jailed for a reported assault incident on Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 9:30 a.m. the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal disturbance at a home in the 400 block of Sterling Drive, just north of Roseburg. As the victim began to leave the area on foot, the suspect allegedly began to follow victim in her sedan. Two times the suspect would accelerate and then stop as the victim continued to walk away. On the third time, the suspect reportedly turned her vehicle toward the victim, hitting him with the left side of her vehicle, and causing the victim to fall.

Evidence at the scene supported the victim’s version of the events. The suspect claimed she couldn’t remember what happened and wasn’t sure if she hit the victim or not. The 32-year-old suspect was charged with fourth-degree assault. She was detained without bail.
