A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4:00 p.m. Saturday through 1:00 p.m. Sunday for the south-central Oregon Cascades including Crater Lake and Diamond Lake.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said snow is expected above 5,000 feet. Total snow accumulation of 5 to 10 inches. Winds will gust as high as 45 miles per hour over high and exposed terrain.
The Advisory area applies to locations above 5,000 feet including highways 62, 138 and 230.
Forecasters said travel may be difficult and there may be delays. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Motorists should slow down and use caution while traveling. Call 511 or visit www.tripcheck.com for road information.
