LOW COMING ONSHORE TO BRING MORE RAIN TO THE UMPQUA VALLEY

January 2, 2025 6:50 a.m.

A low coming onshore will bring more precipitation to the Umpqua Valley starting part way through the weekend.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that a lull in the rain is expected for Friday. As the low moves in between Saturday night and Sunday morning, the Roseburg Regional Airport should receive up to 0.75 inches of precipitation.

Snow levels are forecast to begin drop Monday night and could reach 3,000 feet by Wednesday. Forecasters said higher elevations in eastern Douglas County could see some snow by midweek, but the Roseburg area will not be impacted.
