Roseburg Police jailed a man for a felony count of strangulation on Tuesday night.

An RPD report said at 10:15 p.m. officers responded after a disturbance was called in, in the 400 block of West Cochrane Court. A victim claimed that the 32-year-old man had strangled her. Witnesses reported seeing the man on top of the female and she had markings on her neck to substantiate the crime.

The man was detained without bail.
