Roseburg Police jailed a man for two unrelated theft cases early Saturday.
An RPD report said at 1:20 a.m. 38-year-old Matthew Huddleston was contacted near the intersection of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard and Northeast Vine Street
In the first case from earlier in the month, Huddleston admitted to stealing a victim‘s solar power lights from a residence in the 2000 block of Northeast Sunset Street. He claimed he returned them after stealing them.
In the second case, Huddleston admitted to cashing a check for $200 and attempting to cash another check for $400. The checks were stolen. Huddleston was charged with two counts each of identity theft, forgery, and possession of a forged instrument along with second-degree theft and attempted second-degree theft.
Huddleston was detained on $1,250 bail.
