Sutherlin Police jailed a man after witnessing several traffic violations on Tuesday afternoon.

An SPD report released on Friday said at 12:10 p.m. 51-year-old Michael Dowell was contacted in the 1600 block of West Central Avenue after a short pursuit. An officer recognized the man as having a parole warrant for his arrest. Dowell was charged with a felony count of driving while suspended, attempting to elude a police officer and a parole violation. He was detained on $10,000 bail and was released on Wednesday.
