ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR LITTERING/CAMPING CHARGES

Roseburg Police jailed a man for littering and camping charges on Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said just after 6:30 a.m. officers contacted the 34-year-old at his camp in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. The camp was spread over a 20-foot by 20-foot area and had a substantial amount of trash. His camp violated the manner place of the city camping ordinance. He had three prior convictions for prohibited camping so was taken into custody.

He was detained for offensive littering and prohibited camping. Bail was set at $2,500.
